Glaucoma Services
Glaucoma, a condition that is often called the "sneak thief of sight," is one of the leading causes of blindness in the United States. Unfortunately, the most common types of glaucoma have no symptoms until vision is already damaged.
Our physicians routinely examine patients for early signs of glaucoma. Drs. Hill, Wand and Emerick specialize in the evaluation and treatment of glaucoma. Their care includes medical treatment, as well as treatment by laser and surgery. Drs. Hill and Wand have both completed glaucoma fellowships at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Emerick completed his glaucoma fellowship at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.
To help manage the care of glaucoma patients, we offer the latest diagnostic tests, including optic nerve photography, computerized visual fields and laser optic disc analysis.
