Lacrimal System Disorders
The lacrimal system produces and drains the tears that keep your eyes moist and healthy. A blockage in the tear drainage system can cause tears to run down the face and may result in infection. Surgical elimination of the obstruction will resolve the tearing and infection. "Dry eye syndrome" occurs when too few tears are produced or the tears drain too quickly from the surface of the eye.
