Orbital Disease and Injury
The orbit is the bony socket that surrounds the eye and contains the eye itself, the muscles that move the eye, arteries and nerves. Many medical and surgical problems can affect the orbit and thereby threaten vision. Thyroid eye disease, orbital tumors and orbital fractures may require either medical or surgical intervention.
