Kimberly A. DiTolla, O.D. is an optometrist who has over fifteen years of experience fitting contact lenses. She is residency trained at Southern California College of Optometry in advanced primary eye care and medical ocular disease management. Dr. DiTolla offers comprehensive examinations including treatment and management of ocular diseases. She works with patients having irregular corneas, corneal trauma, high refractive errors, presbyopia, degenerative conditions including penetrating keratoplasty and keratoconus. She also offers therapeutic and cosmetic contact lens care, consultation and referral to more specialized services when appropriate.
Dr. Emilie Mojica joined Consulting Ophthalmologists in 2015. She graduated with a Biology degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry where she earned honors in her clinical coursework. As a student, she practiced in a variety of settings including VA Connecticut Healthcare, The Illinois Eye Institute, the Nevada VA hospital and the Queens College in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. Emilie Mojica spent a portion of her residency training dedicated to contacts. Along with General eye care, she can provide you an alternative to those glasses. Patients that are completely new to contacts are welcome, casual users looking for an alternative during active weekends or just a change in color, or seasoned users looking for an improvement. She can help you with all your contact needs, last minute prescriptions, dryness, and fatigue in current contacts, issues with computer or reading in contacts. She enjoys getting to know her patients and understanding there very specific visual demands to find a great solution for them.
Monica E. Shea, FCLSA, NCLE-AC, L.O. is a licensed optician in the State of Connecticut with eighteen years experience in the sub-specialty of fitting contact lenses. She completed a contact lens internship at Yale University School of Medicine, Yale Eye Center, New Haven, Connecticut. Ms. Shea has distinguished herself by completing the rigorous requirements necessary to become one of only 300 Fellows of the Contact Lens Society of America (FCLSA). She also holds the following certifications: National Contact Lens Examiners – Advanced Certified Contact Lens Technician (NCLE-AC), National Contact Lens Examiners Certified (NCLE) and American Board of Opticianry (ABOC). Ms. Shea earned an Associate of Science in Ophthalmic Design and Dispensing from Middlesex Community College. She graduated from Charter Oak State College with Honors receiving a Bachelor of Science.
Ms. Shea specializes in fitting medically necessary contact lenses and multifocals by incorporating advanced contact lens designs. She works with patients having irregular corneas, corneal trauma, high refractive errors, presbyopia, degenerative conditions including penetrating keratoplasty and keratoconus. Prior to joining Consulting Ophthalmologists, Ms. Shea was the director of contact lens services at Eye Physician Associates of Hartford in West Hartford. Ms. Shea has demonstrated a high level of clinical training and expertise, including vast experience successfully fitting patients with hybrid and scleral contact lenses.
